Another must-visit is the Charlottenburg Palace Christmas Market which is set against the backdrop of the stunning palace, this market can actually feel like a scene from a fairy tale. As you wander through the stalls, the scent of roasted almonds and cinnamon wafts through the air. Don’t miss out on the handmade ornaments and unique gifts that make for perfect souvenirs. Here, you’ll find vintage stalls, local artisans, and an eclectic mix of food trucks serving everything from vegan delights to hearty German fare. The vibrant street art surrounding the area adds to the lively ambience, making it a favourite spot for young locals and (what’s the modern day parlance…?) hipsters.
The closest market to our beautiful 1920s home in the historic district of Berlin is perhaps the most charming of all. Surrounded by a cosy estate atmosphere, the Advent Market at Domäne Dahlem features selected stalls and a colourful program for children, making it perfect for family outings.
The market is centered around a former manor house from the 16th century. The old house, along with the adjoining outbuildings set on the spacious Domäne grounds, provides a beautiful backdrop for our guests, seeking a unique holiday experience.
