Nestled in the Mediterranean Sea, Ibiza is of course famed for its vibrant nightlife, stunning beaches (they are plentiful) and electronic music scene. However, beyond the thrumming clubs and beach parties lies a more refined island life that appeals to a discerning, grown-up crowd seeking relaxation, culture, and natural beauty, and indeed, those that enjoy both.
Ibiza's Tranquil Retreats:
For the discerning traveller seeking relaxation and tranquility, Ibiza offers a plethora of high-end resorts, boutique hotels, and private villas that provide a luxurious haven away from the island's bustling party scene. From the serene cliffs overlooking the mystical and legendery Es Vedrà rock, to the secluded northern cove of Cala Xarraca, there are numerous exclusive retreats that offer stunning views, personalised service, and a sense of seclusion that is perfect for those looking to unwind in style.
Es Vedra
One such gem is the renowned Hacienda Na Xamena, perched on the cliffs of the island's north coast, offering panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea and luxurious amenities such as a spa, infinity pools, and gourmet dining options. For a more intimate experience, boutique hotels like Can Curreu in the heart of the island's countryside provide a peaceful oasis surrounded by lush gardens and traditional architecture, ideal for a romantic getaway or a wellness retreat. For a private luxury retreat or special event for a larger gorup, contact keys2casa to see our exclusive range of villas and our team will tailor a holiday package that is perfect for you.

For a truly unforgettable dining experience, book a table at the iconic La Paloma in the village of San Lorenzo, where locally sourced ingredients are transformed into exquisite dishes served in a charming garden setting. Alternatively, explore Ibiza Town's historic Dalt Vila district and discover hidden gems like El Portalón, a stylish restaurant housed in a centuries-old building offering a modern take on Spanish cuisine.

Cultural Gems:
Beyond its stunning beaches and vibrant nightlife, Ibiza boasts a rich cultural heritage that is waiting to be explored by those seeking a deeper understanding of the island's history and traditions. Visit the UNESCO-listed Dalt Vila, a fortified hilltop town that dates back to the 16th century and offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, as well as a glimpse into Ibiza's past as a strategic stronghold in the Mediterranean.
Art aficionados will delight in the island's burgeoning contemporary art scene, with galleries like La Nave Salinas showcasing works by both local and international artists in a stunning industrial space overlooking the sea.
For a taste of Ibiza's traditional crafts, visit the charming village of Santa Gertrudis and browse its artisanal shops offering handmade ceramics, textiles, and jewelry that reflect the island's unique artistic heritage. Make sure to visit the well-known Hippie Markets, including the True Hippie Market on Wednesdays in Es Caná and the Las Dalias Hippy Market on Saturdays in San Carlos (which also features a lively weekly night market with music and food).

Beach Clubs:
And for those seeking beach club vibes, and hoping to enjoy the laid back ambience that Ibiza captures so beautifully, then here are a few of our recommendations:
Playa d'en Bossa on the east coast of the island, just south of Ibiza town, boasts the longest beach of the island and is known for its pulsating nightlife. Here you will find a myriad of bars for all tastes and budgets, from intimate clubs like Octan to iconic super-clubs like Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza.
Set at the south end of the shoreline, you’ll find Beachouse, exuding beach-shack chic with sun-bleached driftwood and palm-frond weave. Enjoy free sunrise yoga, chill DJ sets, moonlit dinners, and a daily kids' club.
Strip away the glitz of some of these beach bars and Ibiza is still the beautiful free spirited hippy at heart. And channelling that energy in the northeast corner of the island is Elements Eivissa Beach Club. It’s set on Benniras Beach, which remains one of the island’s more ‘alternative’ playas, where a welcoming, inclusive attitude is paired with a blissed-out sense of being steeped in your own space. But this laid-back nature still allows for fabulous food with a menu which features superfood smoothies, freshly made pasta, and seafood sourced locally. Indulge in this delightful experience and make sure not to overlook the famous 'drumming os the sun' sunset ceremony, a unique Ibiza tradition specific to this enchanting cove.
Cala Conta is another must-visit spot for enjoying a sunset at Sunset Ashram whilst sipping on a mojito, and soaking in the breathtaking views of the beach from two different angles. Grab a bite to eat next door at the rustic Cala Escondida, Cala Conta. The most environmentally sensitive and sustainable beach bar on Ibiza, and they make a mean Sangria!
Cala Gracionetta
Cala Gracionetta with its charming and intimate beach restaurant surrounded by pine trees in a secluded cove just outside San Antonio is a firm favourite with the Keys2Casa team, closely followed by the vibrant Chezz Geradi chiringuito on the beautiful little sister Island Formetera, only 30 mins by ferry from the old town or accessible by your own private charter.
